Easter Bunny Mozzarella Crostini

Festive Easter bunny crostinis made with chili hummus, mozzarella, and red cheddar.

Ingredients

  • 7 slices baguette
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons hummus chili
  • 1 fresh mozzarella ball
  • 1 slice red cheddar
  • 7 sprigs fresh dill
  • sea salt to taste
  • 21 sesame seeds black

Instructions

  • Slice the bread and heat a skillet on medium-high heat.
  • Place the butter in the pan, and when it’s bubbly, add the baguette slices.
  • Once the slices are browned on one side (should take about 2-3 minutes), turn over and brown on the other side.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Slice the mozzarella.
  • Shape the bunny bodies using the large round cutter and the face with the small cutter.
  • Cut out the ears with the small petal cookie cutter.
  • Halve the petal shape to make two ears.
  • Spread chili hummus on top of the crostini.
  • Arrange the cheese bunnies on the crostini.
  • Use sesame seeds for the eyes and nose.
  • Make the carrots with the carrot cutter and red cheddar slices.
  • Add a small sprig of dill for the carrot top.
  • Place the cheese carrot on top of the bunny.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt and serve.
