Ingredients

  • 2 slices of watermelon
  • 100 grams white chocolate
  • 7 kiwi berries or grapes
  • 2 yellow mini peppers
  • 2 vampire teeth
  • 4 kiwis
  • 12 pretzels sticks
  • 50 grams dark chocolate
  • 21 blueberries
  • gingerbread man cookie cutter
  • gingerbread woman cookie cutter
  • 23 candy eyes
  • 14 mini candy eyes
  • vegetable peeler
  • curved sprinkles
  • piping utensil / bag
  • parchment paper

Instructions

  • Instructions for the Knocked-Out Frankensteins:
  • Cut a line along the top third of the kiwi.
  • Use a vegetable peeler to remove the kiwi skin underneath the line.
  • Halve the kiwi and dry it with a piece of kitchen towel.
  • Cut a v-shape into the middle of the kiwi skin hair.
  • Melt some dark chocolate.
  • Use the melted chocolate and a toothpick to shape the eye and mouth details on the Frankensteins.
  • Stick pretzel stick ends into the side of the kiwis.
  • Instructions for the Blueberry Creepy Crawlies:
  • Make sure your blueberries are the same size.
  • Melt some dark chocolate.
  • Shape the dark chocolate legs onto parchment paper using a piping utensil or bag.
  • Top a small blob of chocolate onto the side of a blueberry and stick it together with another blueberry.
  • Place these on top of the legs you made.
  • Continue for three or four blueberries (the longer it is, the more fragile it will be).
  • Use melted chocolate to stick the mini candy eyes onto the first blueberry in line.
  • Allow to set.
  • Instructions for the Vampire's Mouth Peppers:
  • Shape a hole in the peppers similar in size to the vampire’s mouth you have.
  • Remove the insides of the pepper to make room for the vampire’s mouth.
  • Insert the mouth carefully.
  • Notes: Be sure to remove the vampire’s mouth before eating.
  • Instructions for Mr. and Mrs. Watermelon Skeletons:
  • Slice the watermelon.
  • Use the gingerbread man and woman cutter to shape the skeletons.
  • Dry the fruit with a piece of kitchen towel.
  • Melt some white chocolate.
  • Add the chocolate to a piping utensil / bag.
  • Pipe the skeleton details onto the shaped melon.
  • Allow to set.
  • Instructions for the Kiwi Berry Eyes:
  • Melt some white chocolate.
  • Using the tip of a small spoon, add a small amount of white chocolate to one end of the berries.
  • Top with candy eyes and allow to set standing (you can use some foil to shape a little folded holder).
  • Instructions for the Kiwi Mummies:
  • Peel the kiwi.
  • Halve it.
  • Dry it off with a piece of kitchen towel.
  • Melt some white chocolate.
  • Place the chocolate in a piping utensil / bag.
  • Pipe the kiwis with the white chocolate to resemble mummy bandages.
  • Top with candy eyes (you can use some white chocolate to stick them on).
  • Allow to set.
  • Instructions for the Kiwi Aliens:
  • Peel the kiwi.
  • Halve it.
  • Dry it off with a piece of kitchen towel.
  • Use some leftover melted chocolate to stick on three eyes.
  • Stick two pretzel stick ends into each side of the kiwi.
  • Top with a curved sprinkle for the mouth.
  • Arrange all on a platter and serve.
