Servings: 8 kiwis
- 4 kiwis
- 75 grams dark chocolate
- 16 candy eyes
Halve the kiwi.
Make a cut slightly over halfway across the narrow part of the kiwi peel, not cutting all the way through.
Trim the peel off the smallest section using a small knife or peeler.
Dry the kiwi with a kitchen towel. This ensures the dark chocolate will set properly.
Melt the dark chocolate.
Place the slightly cooled melted chocolate in a piping utensil or bag.
Pipe on the chocolate. First, you pipe along the line between the skin and the fruit. Then pipe a line down the middle of the beetle’s body.
Finally, pipe six legs on some parchment paper, and place the kiwi beetle on top.
Leave to set.
Add candy eyes (use a bit of melted dark chocolate to make them stick).
