Prep Time: 20 min.

Surprise your sweet angels with this beautiful fruit carving idea. It’s so easy to make, and you can even use the same technique for angel pancakes.

Ingredients

Instructions

1. Slice a piece of watermelon.

2. Cut a v-shape from the center of the melon (aim for ¼ of the entire slice).

3. Place this piece opposite where you cut it, covering the edge slightly.

4. Slice another piece of watermelon and use the round cutter to cut out the face.

5. Place the face on top of the v-shaped slice.

6. Dry the melon with a piece of kitchen roll.

7. Melt the dark chocolate.

8. Place the chocolate in a piping utensil / bag.

9. Make a halo shape with the dark chocolate and top with silver sprinkles. Allow to set.

10. Pipe the chocolate hands and the scalloped edges on the v-shaped piece, as well as the trim around the remaining watermelon slice.

11. Top the round melon face with star sprinkles, candy eyes and a curved sprinkle for the mouth.

12. Lay the halo on top of the head.
